Misia Country Resort is located in the ancient medieval village of Rocca Ripesena, overlooking the woods, olive trees and pure hills in a panoramic position in front of Orvieto. Rocca Ripesena, an ancient, evocative and peaceful spot situated at the foot of a vast tuff cliff of volcanic origin, from which the whole panorama of Orvieto is dominated by 'the golden lily of cathedrals' approximately six kilometres away. Some geologists even claim that in 1223 BC it was the volcanic eruption of Bolsena that deposited the mass of tuff of Rocca Ripesena and Orvieto in this soil. The village is home to a handful of local families and a small, modest church that was completely rebuilt in the early 1900s and consecrated a few years later, where Holy Mass is celebrated every Sunday in a unique context. Woods and hills frame a view that is nothing short of fantastic. Misia provides two apartments and ten rooms furnished with a combination of design and characteristic style to offer its guests an experience full of charm in a natural setting that is steeped in history. The rooms are kitted out with every comfort to offer guests a stay full of rest, warmth and tranquillity, and a refined breakfast is served in the lounge. It is possible to request one or more beds for children, and pets are also welcome. Misia offers transport services to and from the station, the city of Orvieto and the surrounding areas and, if requested in advance, the possibility of relying on trusted drivers for transfers to the nearest airports.
